Suggestions for movie makers.
1. If you intend to portray a horse that is supposed to be a "wild horse" --living on it's own in the mountains, please don't show the "wild horse" galloping away from camera with it's silver shoes flashing in the sun.
(Most wild horses we know don't book farrier appointments.)
2. If you're making some sort of war re-enactment film, don't have the same buckskin horse ridden by members of opposing war batallions. You think we don't notice such things, but this buckskin was pretty flashy and distinctive. When he was ridden by someone on both sides of the conflict we noticed. You can get away with that when you have a bunch of chestnuts and bays, (for the most part,) but when there's just one buckskin it's pretty obvious when he switches sides, (multiple times!)
3. It's kind of cheesy when you make films showing indians of the american west riding bareback, but attempt to hide their stirrups under flowing blankets. Can't you just get some good bareback riders?
