Jai's hair shorts.

Jai's Shorts.jpgPoor Jai. He just got his spring haircut and dad thought it would be funny to leave him with a pair of "hair shorts."

He looks like a little black sheep--bouvier, well, kind-of. Jai has no idea how ridiculous he looks. But just wait until all the other dogs make fun of him. Then he'll know that hair shorts aren't cool. But for now, he's running around after his frisbee, happy to be rid of his hot winter fur.

Then again....maybe this look will catch on. Soon all dogs will want their own pair of hair shorts. Jai will become the canine fashionista.

What's next? Is Jai going to start low-riding?

You're right about the other dogs making fun of a dog that has been clipped. I remember seeing that as a kid when our neighbor clipped their collie in the summer. All of the dogs laughed at her and she was so embarrassed. Then she didn't want to come out of the house when the other dogs were around. It was an interesting exchange to observe. Fun post!

This is terrible. How can a poor animal be expected to feel. He has no understanding of his so-called 'shorts'. Your father should be ashamed of himself doing that to a poor helpless creature who's unable to defend himself.This has got to be called what it is; Mans inhumanity towards fellow living creatures.

Good grief, lighten up Doris. I agree Aunt Amy and as one who's tested out the hair gel on my retriever a time or two for giggles. Family pets generally don't care. Why? because they love their family, bad hair cuts and all :)

Jai is adorable, hair shorts and all. He was way excited to be at the show this weekend, and i think he'd of been stylin with the hair shorts. All the other dogs would have been TOTALLY jelous (spelling?). I know Charlie and Ernie want some hair shorts!
