Moon rates the homemade treats.

Moon Cuddles.jpgThe last thing I did before leaving the barn tonight was give Moon one of the treats we made. (Moon is boarded at my trainer's barn, so he wasn't there yesterday when we gave the ranch horses the treats we made.) Today was his turn.

We had predicted that he wouldn't like them, because he's pretty picky about his treats.

He surprised us all. He loved them. We'd have to guess his rating was ****.

We took this picture right after he got the treat, then we tucked him in and kissed him goodnight.

I'll bet Jason would eat them too and at least give them two stars. He once ate a carmel covered onion!

You'll have to ask him. It's a funny story.

He also ate those green cookies maddy and I made. Remember we left them out on the counter and it was dark when he got home so he just picked one up and ate it!

How was I supposed to know that I wasn't supposed to eat those green cookies. I agree with Jeff, we keep getting booby trapped in to what are seemingly delectable treats only to find out later that it is a trap. Jeff you should elaborate on the brownies that resulted in a trip to the hospital.

As for the Carmel cover onion. For starters it was covered in chocolate. I have this group of friends that occasionally likes to induldge in gratuitous gluttony. For several years I have been at the top of the heap and had consistently won every food eating contest we had drempt up. This is of course excepting the family contest during Thanksgiving where my brother in-law always wins. As my friends became increasingly frustrated at my dominance of the contests they devised a way to even up the odds. They set up a speed contest to eat a chocolate covered apple. There we were, all set to go, the starting wistle was sounded and we dug in. I was about 3/4 of the way through and clearly in the lead when I came up for air and to check the competition. my closest competitor was about 1/2 through. When my thoughts returned to the task at hand my eyes dropped to my target only to discover that the apple had interesting striations and layers, and really wasn't an apple at all but was an onion. Of course I decided that I couldn't let an obviously set up competition stop me from winning (I am very competitive) so I dove right back in. I finished my onion long before any one else finished their apples. Everyone who witnessed the event was astounded that even with the odds against me I won. Now the worst part, I smelled strong onion for the next 2 weeks. Anyone who got too close during that time could smell it and it was a serious damper for any potential dates during that time period.
