Turnout.

stunts_rodeo.jpgMoon is possibly the most energtic horse in our barn. Sometimes, when he gets turned out, he'll buck for almost a half an hour straight. He works up quite a sweat in his turnout time, I guess it's a mini workout. You'd think with all that bucking maybe he isn't getting ridden enough, yet he gets ridden almost everyday. He's just got a crazy amount of energy, or someone's been spiking his water with Red Bull.

My trainer, Kestas, has only been bucked off by one horse in our barn, and yes, you guessed it--he was bucked off Moon.

With his talent for bucking it's amazing that I haven't been bucked off more than I have...knock on wood.

Considering how hard my now 24 yo TB Hap used to play when I got him at the age of 8, I don't think I would have had the nerve to ever get on him if I had seen it before I bought him. He's only ever bucked me off once though: got shied off a lot though till I finally learned to stick his spooks.

Moon certainly does sound like he has quite a bit of energy, I'm sure he's just full of life and not being spiked by redbull haha. Great blog - just started reading it about a month ago. Thought I would share something I found the other day that I thought was really fun - http://www.quizlee.com/web-lingo. It's a fun quiz that let's you test your slang knowledge. I thought it was really cool and you a get a neat badge you can post on your blog. keep up the great work!

Love the red bull assumption. He just sounds like a fun energetic horse. So, how many times HAVE you been bucked off? hehe
