Global Warming.

global warming.jpgWe're having quite a little snow storm here today, what better time to write about global warming.

We rented "An Inconvenient Truth," the Al Gore documentary about global warming. We started it last night, and ok, I admit it, I was really tired and fell asleep. So I re-started it and watched it today. The statistics are very real and alarming. I was shocked. I guess I didn't understand the magnitude of the problem until now.

Yes, I complain about the snow sometimes. We live in a ski town, and usually get plenty of of it. And although we do love to ski and snowboard, riding in winter weather can be kind-of rough. Numb feet and hands, icy trails, you get the idea. Ok, I'm done complaining.

The good news is that the problem can be solved, but it will require that we are willing to change some habits. There are lots of sites that help you calculate your personal impact. You may be surprised to learn how much Co2 you're emitting each year. I hope you'll all take the time to see this necessary film.

I watched that in class before break, and it was good, i was really interested! And yes riding in the dead of winter is nearly and impossible feat to do with out one body part or another feeling like it's going to fall off!
