Happy One Year Moon!

candle.jpgExactly a year ago today I found out Moon was my horse. It was a cold winter day and I had my usual riding lesson and headed out to the barn with my parents and YaYa and PaPu. I thought it was a little odd that they all wanted to watch my lesson, because like I said, it was a really cold day.

When I got to the barn the first thing I noticed was Moon, in a stall with red bows tied in his mane. Yes, he looked beautiful! (I swear, he was smiling at me!) Then I noticed everyone was looking at Moon and me. Everyone at the barn already knew that I was getting Moon that day. I don't know how they managed to keep it a secret so well.

I was in complete shock. I was very quiet. It took a second for me to realize what was happening. Then my mom told me that Moon was, officially my horse. He was a present from YaYa and PaPu and my parents. Most girls would probably have jumped up and down and screamed a lot. I was jumping up and down and screaming inside. I was so shocked that I could hardly react!

I rode him that day and was so happy he was mine. My perfect little Moon. I'd ridden him before, but knowing he was mine made that ride all the better.

In the past year owning Moon has been a dream. He really is the perfect horse for me. Moon was just 5 when I got him, so we have lots of riding and lots of adventures ahead.
