I'm mom and I get it.

keiki.jpgNot only do I get it, it's in my blood.

I come from a long line of horse loving people. My grandpa was a rancher and loved horses. He gave me my first horse when I was eight. My mom grew up riding on the ranch with her brother, who I think of as the original horse whisperer. My dad also grew up riding and ranching. So you see, it's in my blood, I can't help but love horses.

It's in Maddy's blood too. And we know, some day, dad will get it too. You know the saying, if you fall off a horse get right back on.

That saying's great for falling. I don't think it works as well for thrown and trampled. Anyway, I'm working on it.

Actually, I saw the alleged "thrown and trampled" incident. And sorry, but it was more like Maverick made a quick turn and you just sort of slid off his back. Then Maverick had a good chuckle.
Hey everyone! For those of you who dont't know me, I am the owner of Tigger, You can see a picture of him on the other page called about. He is my little baby! I love him so much, although I have a few other horses in various countrys...(wink wink nudge nudge) I have two other horses, Prettybabe, a two year old RQH (registered quarter horse) she is adorable, the daughter of a reining champion, she's good and she knows it. She is in training right now with my Grandma Westrop, sho has bred, trained, and showed horses her whole life. Prettybabe is currently on there ranch in Alberta Canada. Doc, my (other other horse) is also a RQH, he doesn't legally belong to me, he belongs to myi good friends the Edwards. Thanks to Kate Edwards, I get to ride, work with, train, and show this amazing horse. He has won up to 5000 dollars in his past and he's only 6 When he was 3 he began traning in stadium, x-country, and dressage. When he was 3.5 he was showing. Tragedy stuck when he was almost 4, he began limping, so his former owners called the vet, the vet told them he would not recover. They sneakily tried to lie to buyers until the vet check of course, he was ready to get thrown away, when Kate found him. SHe rescued him and now he is working with me at the Copper Hills Equestrian Center, in Herriman Salt Lake. I love him and look forward to upcoming shows! A little more about Tigger is he is my little thoroughbred jumper! He has never competed with me, and I don't know much about his past, except he used to race. He LOVES morse than ANYTHING to 1) give love nibbles, 2) RUN (wich he does on our country roads up on our little ranch :) 3) take a daring leap at anything in his path. And thanks to Maddy... I now know just how to take him over those jumps! I love it and I love doing both styles of riding! I love the speed of english and the awesome control of the western reining, cutting, and western pleasure ring! anyway ttyl!!! thanks for reading!

Thanks for your nice comments about my website!

You have a great site - "this mom gets it" (but neither my mom nor my husband do)! I sure hope my children will!!
